Each lines and contours (faces, shapes, letters, numbers; etc) have been integrally reconstructed and colors have been restored as they were in 1650. Manufacturing defects existing in the original deck from the BNF have been preserved to respect that masterpiece authenticity.

Handcrafted tarot decks : Due to an authentic artisanal production, it can happen that some cards present a light imperfection, and all tarot looks a little different as it’s not possible to reproduce twice the exact same deck. We thank you for your understanding.

We are happy to share with you the brand new video documentary about the Marseille tarot and the tradition of “Marseille Maîtres Cartiers” made by «La Maison du Tarot de Marseille» in January of the year 2024.
«La Maison du Tarot de Marseille» is an amazing tarot shop in Marseille owned by Emmanuel Coudreau.
This documentary of one hour and half is composed of an interview in wich I talk about the history of tarot and the history of the «Maîtres Cartiers» from Provence. A discovery of the famous places of the Maîtres Cartiers in Aix-en-Provence.
Then, in a last part, I show you the entire process of handcrafting tarot cards according to the tradition from the XVII th and the XVIII th centuries.

At Tarotgraphe, we are committed to the respect of the Marseille tarot’s tradition.
Our love of the tradition reflects into our production method that is similar to the method of the “maîtres cartiers” from Marseille from the XVII and XVIII th centuries.
But our love of the tradition also reflects into our spiritual believes and into our way of praticing tarot to reach the perfect union with God (trump n°21)
We firmly believe that the Marseille tarot is a powerfull tool that illustrates the initiatory path of our lord and savior Jesus the Christ through the 22 trumps.
This spiritual path can lead the practitioner to the birth of Christ inside of him and so experimenting the holy presence of God within himself.
